The daughters of the rich Go shopping on Thirty-fourth street: They are sweet, round and succulent, Nourished, firm-fleshed, Dainty and expensive morsels To glut desire And deaden the spirit. Down on Fourteenth street There is a waitress in a restaurant, Fresh-skinned and young-limbed, With a gesture that speaks of nodding hill-flow'rs in summer.
