UNDERSTANDING, by H. W. BLISS First Line: How blind men are! We surely cannot know Last Line: May it be with understanding that we live! | |||

Of all the virtues which heaven has to give -- May it be with understanding that we live! | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...TO THE PEACOCK OF FRANCE by MARIANNE MOORE SPELT FROM SIBYL'S LEAVES by GERARD MANLEY HOPKINS DAY AND NIGHT SONGS by WILLIAM ALLINGHAM A CHARACTER OF JOSEPH PRIESTLY by ANNA LETITIA BARBAULD VERSES ON MRS.
