TO A PRIMROSE, by EDNA S. CODDINGTON First Line: Prim little primrose Last Line: By thee on the sill. Subject(s): Flowers; Primroses | ||||||||
Prim little primrose, Dainty and still Crowned with glory There on the sill. Outside, winter white, Within this room Brave clusters scatter All thoughts of gloom. Fragile pink primrose, Thy modest flowers Bring peace and cheer Through the long hours. Sweet timid primrose, How can it be; Out of earth's bosom Camest thouto me? Prim little primrose, Blooming until My life is purified By thee on the sill. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...THE EVENING PRIMROSE by JOHN CLARE THE PRIMROSE by ROBERT HERRICK TO PRIMROSES FILLED WITH MORNING DEW by ROBERT HERRICK THE EARLY PRIMROSE by HENRY KIRKE WHITE LAURENCE BLOOMFIELD IN IRELAND: 6.
