A LITTLE SONG, by REXFORD EIDSON First Line: Wandering out amain Last Line: Of what we sought. Subject(s): Flowers; Love; Roses; Singing & Singers; Songs | ||||||||
Wandering out amain, Out to the jetty, Love is a rose again Of bright confetti. Stars that are crystal dust Besprinkle deep heaven, And over the earth's thin crust, Offer sweet leaven. Her hand is a touch of madness Which lips may hold; And time is love's kind sadness, Blessed to unfold. Again the rose is gone, Finding a thought . . . Blushed with the rhyme of dawn -- Of what we sought. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...THE APOLLO TRIO by CONRAD AIKEN BAD GIRL SINGING by MARK JARMAN CHAMBER MUSIC: 4 by JAMES JOYCE CHAMBER MUSIC: 5 by JAMES JOYCE CHAMBER MUSIC: 28 by JAMES JOYCE THE SONG OF THE NIGHTINGALE IS LIKE THE SCENT OF SYRINGA by MINA LOY THE FLOOD OF YEARS by WILLIAM CULLEN BRYANT |
