IMMORTAL, by
First Line: They may bury your body, your dear, precious body
Last Line: It is not really you that has died.
Subject(s): Immortality; Soul

They may bury your body, your dear, precious body
Deep down there under the sod;
But they cannot bury the soul of you—
For souls are a part of God.

They may bury your heart there with you,
For hearts can be broken and dead;
But the warmth of your heart and its loving
Are not held in that lonely bed.

Your spirit—your beautiful spirit
Wings its way so soft by my side,
That I know, with its presence about me,
It is not really you that has died.
