A CITY HOUSEWIFE'S RONDEL, by ELOISE HERRING GORHAM First Line: I walk among my garden blooms Last Line: I walk among my garden blooms. Subject(s): Flowers; Gardens & Gardening; Walking | ||||||||
I walk among my garden blooms And feel west winds upon my face, For in this heated window space Two red geraniums flaunt their plumes. A little kitchen plant presumes To vie with jasmine's rural grace; I walk among my garden blooms And feel west winds upon my face. All flowers blossom in my rooms Because against my window place Geramiums etch their scarlet trace; Between the kettle, pans and brooms, I walk among my garden blooms. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...SPRING DAY: WALK by AMY LOWELL WALKING-STICKS AND PAPERWEIGHTS AND WATERMARKS by MARIANNE MOORE I GUIDED THE LONG TRANSHUMANCE OF THE HERD by AIME CESAIRE THE TREES OF MADAME BLAVATSKY by NORMAN DUBIE THREE MEN WALKING, THREE BROWN SILHOUETTES by ALICIA SUSKIN OSTRIKER |
