CRITERION, by GERTRUDE A. HARRIS First Line: A childish ego makes us long for fame Last Line: To know that you alone will rate me high. | |||

From east to west Strong as the sun, my being floods the sky, To know that you alone will rate me high. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...ARMOR by GEORGIA DOUGLAS JOHNSON SYMPATHY by GEORGIA DOUGLAS JOHNSON AT DOVER CLIFFS, JULY 20, 1787 by WILLIAM LISLE BOWLES THE CRY OF THE CHILDREN by ELIZABETH BARRETT BROWNING TO THE IMMORTAL MEMORY OF THE HALIBUT ON WHICH I DINED by WILLIAM COWPER SUMTER [APRIL 12, 1861] by EDMUND CLARENCE STEDMAN WHEN HELEN LIVED by WILLIAM BUTLER YEATS A REPLY TO AN IMITATION OF THE SECOND ODE OF HORACE by RICHARD BENTLEY |
