WHAT TIME HAS DONE, by
First Line: What time has done to others
Last Line: What now is sweetly ours.
Subject(s): Time

What Time has done to others,
Crushed in mighty hands
The frail and lovely beauty
Of fleeting hours,
Time can do to us.

Let not one heavy, sullen finger
Part us, then,
Lest time in all his avid hunger
Gain room to hold,
To lift within his ugly palm
And break in shining fragments
What now is sweetly ours.
