SPRING WINDS, by ALICE FERRIN HENSEY First Line: The young wind comes riding down the rosy slopes of dawn Last Line: Of spring winds at dawn. Subject(s): Kisses; Love; Spring | ||||||||
The young wind comes riding down the rosy slopes of dawn With drifts of peach blossoms in his glinting hair And sheaves of pale anemones in his fragile hands. From the phantom mists that float about his flexile form Comes perfume of hyacinths and of tender young dreams To kiss our tear-drenched eyes to smiles again ... There is no loveliness like the loveliness Of spring winds at dawn. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...SPRING LEMONADE by TONY HOAGLAND A SPRING SONG by LYMAN WHITNEY ALLEN SPRING'S RETURN by GEORGE LAWRENCE ANDREWS ODE TO SPRING by ANNA LETITIA BARBAULD ODE TO SPRING by ANNA LETITIA BARBAULD SPRING FLOODS by MAURICE BARING SPRING IN WINTER by CHARLOTTE FISKE BATES SPRING ON THE PRAIRIE by HERBERT BATES THE FARMER'S BOY: SPRING by ROBERT BLOOMFIELD BEYOND TIME by ALICE FERRIN HENSEY CRYSTAL CARAVANS UNTO THE PURPLE PALISADES by ALICE FERRIN HENSEY |
