WHEN SUNSET OVERTAKES ME, by
Last Line: And button it with clover.
Subject(s): Time

When sunset overtakes me
On roads too dim to scan,
Then I shall leave at evening's door
The moving caravan.

I'll put my gypsy shoes away,
Say my prayers thrice over,
Slip an emerald nightgown on
And button it with clover.
