ULTIMATE HARVEST, by
First Line: How shall man apprehend eternity?
Last Line: Was sown all beauty and desire.
Subject(s): Future Life; Retribution; Eternity; After Life

How shall man apprehend eternity?
Each new attempt
but pushes deeper root
into the great
unchanging mystery
of buried seed
and lifted purple fruit.

The answer of eternity
lies prone along the ripened bough.
within the fire
that burns the seed
to harvesting,
was sown all beauty and desire.
