JUDGMENT, by                     Poet's Biography

Subject(s): God; Judgment Day; Religion; Sin; End Of The World; Doomsday; Fall Of Man; Theology

The night the true God lists your every crime
And bids you tell the good that you have done,
'Tis like that you may find no words for one
Good deed, in silent awe of the sublime.

And yet, O sinner, your defence must start
If the just fire shall be disavowed.
Therefore, having cast aside your shroud,
Take in your hands and hold aloft your heart:

Your madman's heart, your faun's heart, swollen too
With pride; that burns all night, that bleeds all day;
Your heart that all love's torments wear away:
And the true God—I see it all—will pardon you.
