A loosened leaf blown by the casual wind He drifted over perilous seas, and chill Unfriendly Northern steppes; undaunted still, Through lands of barbarous speech, at length to find A little kingdom and its strangely kind Obsequious yellow people, quick to fill His slightest order: doing his utmost will ... Leisure and sweet Ming Lo...hardship left far behind. But pleasure palled.
