ONLY THE SOFT WIND, by
First Line: Life gazes long at me
Last Line: Through the swinging treetops.
Subject(s): Imaginary Conversations; Life; Wind

Life gazes long at me
Through the swinging treetops,
Seeming to question me,
But I have no answer:
Only the soft wind blows
Through the swinging treetops.

When the still evening comes
We return together --
Questioning, I look at him,
But he has no answer:
Only the soft wind blows
Through the swinging treetops.

Often silence finds us here,
Life and me together --
Over all our questioning,
For we have no answer:
Only the soft wind blows
Through the swinging treetops.
