WAITING, by PAULINE PARKER First Line: Waiting is such a task / well do I know it Last Line: At least I won't mind it. Subject(s): Hate; Waiting | |||
Waiting is such a task, Well do I know it, Although I strive so hard, Try not to show it. Tired of this long delay, Tired of bemoaning, Tired of the need to be Always postponing. Every day have to spend Hours in waiting, Every day get to be Quicker at hating. Long for a stopping place, Where will I find it? Waiting will be no more, At least I won't mind it. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...ALMOST AN ELEGY by JOSEPH BRODSKY THE AWAKENING by JAMES WELDON JOHNSON WAITING FOR SWEET BETTY by CLARENCE MAJOR GENTLEMEN, I ADDRESS YOU PUBLICLY by KENNETH REXROTH LA VIE EN ROSE by KENNETH REXROTH STORM CLOUDS by PAULINE PARKER |
