WHEN THE CAT'S AWAY (VARIATIONS ON AN OLD FOLK SONG), by
First Line: Sallie come up, sallie come down
Last Line: Oh, the ole man's gone to town!

Sallie come up, Sallie come down,
Sallie come dance the room aroun'!
Sallie come up, Sallie come down --
Oh, the ole man's gone to town!

Sallie come up, Sallie come down,
He's gone to loaf, the lazy houn'!
He's gone to loaf an' lay aroun' --
Oh, the ole man's gone to town!

So we can dance an' we can sing
An' rip-snort roun' like anything --
Sallie come up, Sallie come down,
Oh, the ole man's gone to town!
