Oh, May is the month for me!
The rollicking month of May
With lambs a-scamper in clover fields
And all the world at play.

Oh, May is the month for me!
The budding month of May
When trees send out brave messengers
To warn the frost away.

Oh, May is the month for me!
The winging month of May
When spring flies past with plumage green
Too swift and bright to stay.

Oh, May is the month for me!
The singing month of May
When birds pipe all their arias
And not a cent to pay!
