THE ADVICE OF A JUDGE, by EVERETT C. RICHMOND First Line: As you sow, so shall you reap Last Line: So my advice is be careful what you do. Subject(s): Advice | |||
As you sow, so shall you reap; My advice to you is don't sow too cheap. Better sow sunshine and a helping hand As you travel on this pleasant land, Than sorrow and a tale of woe Every place that you do go. For soon you will put your sickle in And then your reaping will begin. Now if you want nice things for to reap My advice to you is don't sow too cheap. Don't sow cockleburs and burdock too, For they will get in your hair before you are through; Better sow wheat and some corn So you will have some substance when you are shorn Of all your vanity and self conceit When your Lord and Savior you doth meet. Now what you get out of life is up to you So my advice is be careful what you do. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...THE HOUR BETWEEN DOG AND WOLF: 3.
