First Line: I walked with paul in starlight
Last Line: How I liked the weather!
Subject(s): Love - Marital; Wedded Love; Marriage - Love

I walked with Paul in starlight --
He asked me if I'd wed him;
Then Peter, touched by moonlight,
Told of the chase I led him.

But I loved not in starlight,
Nor yet 'neath pale young moon,
But in the fresh-washed sunlight
Of an April afternoon.

You bent your head till it and mine
Were very close together
And then you asked, oh heart of mine,
How I liked the weather!
