First Line: A song lay hidden in the folds

A song lay hidden in the folds
Of Baby's own attire;
The soft and dainty little things
Enkindled into fire
A spark within my breast.

Then as I washed them carefully
With water in a tub,
I heard the song of sweetest notes
In rhythm with each rub,
A Mother's love expressed!
