LIGHT, by
First Line: Give us light
Last Line: Belittling its inherent beauty.
Subject(s): Light

Give us light,
More light, O God!
Or else
More understanding
To use the light we have.
We grope drunkenly,
Poking with pointed finger
A drop of water
Glistening at our feet,
Thinking it a diamond;
And then, disillusioned,
We turn away
Belittling its inherent beauty.
