SPIRIT QUICKENED, by GRACE HERSEY THOMPSON First Line: Boldly enter into your own house of silence Last Line: To be met and solved by craftsmanship of mind. Subject(s): Silence; Spiritual Life; Towns | ||||||||
Boldly enter into your own house of silence; Protection is there for you; friends respect retirement. Relief is there from mortal, egotistical thought Impeding perfect control by Divine understanding. Reception is there; conscious, positive, loving guidance That, venturing daily, the hidden way shall be plain to mind. In silence is salvation from obverse defeat. Beset by enticements, unquickened spirit weakens to truth. But unknown powers emerge to challenge importunate discord Intricating quick solution of contemporary task. Mind quickened grasps possibilities Unheeded by vagueness of undeveloped, neglectful man. Emerging elements of spiritual verity enable conflicts To be met and solved by craftsmanship of mind. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...HAIL TEESSIDE! by CECIL DAY LEWIS THE IMPORTANCE OF GREEN by JAMES GALVIN A TOWN DEDICATED TO THE PURSUIT OF FITNESS & INNER PEACE by ANSELM HOLLO AN EXPLANATION by JAMES WELDON JOHNSON WHAT COULD HAPPEN by DORIANNE LAUX TRAVELOGUE: WHEN WE CONSIDER THE DARK LIGHT by ELENI SIKELIANOS UPSPRING by GRACE HERSEY THOMPSON |
