MY PRAYER, by RUTH TURNER WEAVER First Line: When morn triumphant breaks Last Line: Behold my christ -- and king! Subject(s): Jesus Christ | |||
When morn triumphant breaks, My slumbering soul awakes And cries "Thou art my King!" By noonday's brilliant sun I praise Thee, Heavenly One -- And joyful carols sing. At sunset's rosy glow My heart sings soft and low "Jesus, my life I bring." When day has passed away, I kneel at night and pray -- "Keep me beneath Thy wing." When life's short stay is o'er May I forevermore Behold my Christ -- and King! | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...THE GREEN CHRIST by ANDREW HUDGINS MEDITATION ON SAVIORS by ROBINSON JEFFERS COMPANIONSHIP by MALTBIE DAVENPORT BABCOCK TO A WREN ON CALVARY by LARRY LEVIS THE TRANSFIGURATION by EDWIN MUIR SOUNDS OF THE RESURRECTED DEAD MAN'S FOOTSTEPS (#3): 1.
