First Line: For ho! I have come to you, god of the woods
Last Line: Which I lose when I am among men.
Subject(s): Calm; Peace; Silence; Placid; Undisturbed; Tranquility

For ho! I have come to you, God of the woods,
Through the park's green calm.
My soul rests again in Thee.
I am restored once more to Thy tranquility.
Thy breezes blow again through me;
Thy silence penetrates the reaches of my soul,
And my inner ear hears Thy silent song:
"Come unto me, my children,
For of such is the kingdom of heaven."
Aye, for such is the realm of peace,
Wherein one finds one's own—
A harmonious reckoning with nature.
Now shall I return once again to life,
And see and fill my place which Thou hast made for me.
When shall I live in Thee among Thy peoples?
My soul longs for this calm
Which I lose when I am among men.
