THE MEADOW BROOK, by ANNETTE WYNNE First Line: The meadow brook is always a happy elf Last Line: Because when no one is around, he plays all by himself Subject(s): Brooks | ||||||||
THE meadow brook is always a happy little elf, For when there's no one else around, he plays all by himself; He looks up at the sky and trees and never feels alone And rushes by each swaying grass and leaps on every stone; He's busy and he's happy the whole long summer day, Altho' there's not a soul around to talk to him or play. The meadow brook's a very merry busy little elf. Because when no one is around, he plays all by himself. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...DOWN THE BROOK by ROBERT FROST A CLEARING BY A STREAM by ALICIA SUSKIN OSTRIKER STREAM by ALICIA SUSKIN OSTRIKER THE ASPEN AND THE STREAM by RICHARD WILBUR WEST RUNNING BROOK by ROBERT FROST BIRCH STREAM by ANNA BOYNTON AVERILL THE VALLEY BROOK by JOHN HOWARD BRYANT CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS by ANNETTE WYNNE |
