Gondolier, Gondolier, my dear,
'Neath the twilight shade,
Let me hear, let me hear,
Thy tender serenade.

When the moonlit wave
Shines like beauty's eyes;
Meet me then, my Gondolier,
'Neath the Bridge of Sighs.

Gondolier in thy little bark,
Yes, yes, I will sit by thee;
Tho' the night be dark,
Love hath power to see.

Thou shalt prove my Evening Star,
Brighter than yon skies;
Meet me then my Gondolier,
'Neath the Bridge of Sighs.
