VOYAGERS, by MORRIS HURLEY First Line: While we're still on the journey, I want you to know Last Line: With memory, here or afar, so we'll know it. Subject(s): Fate; Sea Voyages; Destiny | ||||||||
While we're still on the journey, I want you to know Your love and companionship here have been grand, The song of a river o'er rich, valley land, In music and joy of harmonious flow; Where riplets of laughter chime in as we go, And there's peace in the touch of your lovely, soft hand. What more may the soul of a mortal demand Than a blessing like you on this journey below? You're sweeter than honey from comb of the bee, More lovely than fragrance from heart of the flower; The way has been joyful; to you must I owe it And hope the Creator shall grant you to me Upon the next journey in His future hour, With memory, here or afar, so we'll know it. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...ATTEMPTING TO ANSWER DAVID IGNATOW'S QUESTION by ROBERT BLY FROST AND HIS ENEMIES by ROBERT BLY THE WORLDS IN THIS WORLD by LAURE-ANNE BOSSELAAR UNABLE TO FIND by LAURE-ANNE BOSSELAAR TO HELEN KELLER - HUMANITARIAN, SOCIAL DEMOCRAT, GREAT SOUL by EDWIN MARKHAM DOMESDAY BOOK: FINDING OF THE BODY by EDGAR LEE MASTERS WE COME BACK by KENNETH REXROTH THE WAKING (2) by THEODORE ROETHKE |
