WOMAN'S SONG, by                     Poet's Biography
First Line: Winds are blowing
Last Line: Sorrow's no sorrow.

WINDS are blowing,
Rough winds boisterous,
Clouds advancing,
Cloudy darknesses;
And the bright world
Disappears wholly,
And the fair sun
Disappears wholly.
In the damp mist
Nought but vaporous
Night behind it
Comes on darkening.
In this season
Of foul weather
Living alone
Gives the heart a chill.
What he needs is
Another bosom,
A burning soul,
A fair maiden.
With her, winter
Is warm summer,
In bad fortune
Sorrow's no sorrow.
